I always had
a cautioning thought that if I'm in a situation where I need to defend myself
what weapon would I use?
My mother
would tell me to fill a sock with stones and keep it as a weapon in my bag but
I would come up with a counterattack that when someone is attacking me, I'll
dig in my bag to search for my weapon?
The weapon
should be handy and can be used that very instant.
Then this
happened.
I was
returning from work and had just boarded the train, with a lot of struggle I
managed to find a little space to stand comfortably. Since I had to get down at
the next station I stood near the door behind the person who was getting off at
the same station.
I was all ready and prepared to get down but I had to make a quick judgment and
space for an elderly woman as she too wanted to get down. In a flash of a
second as soon as I was getting off the train one of the women from the crowded
with her sharp object scratched me my arm.
And OUCH!
I screamed
in pain! Well, the thing with the mob is that it has a name but no face. I
don't know who that woman was or why did she do that to me. All I know was that
my arm was red, swollen, it hurt and burnt. With just a scratch of a women's
long nails, I was injured. Thanks to her I'll get a tetanus shot!
The God
gifted weapon! Use it wisely.
